15 Stations in Ambala Division Set to be Modernized Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

The Ambala Division of Indian Railways has identified 15 railway stations that will be modernized and developed with new facilities as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The stations that have been chosen for the project are Saharanpur, Kalka, Malerkotla, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Patiala, Sirhind, Ambala City, SAS Nagar, Dhuri, Abohar, Anandpur Sahib, Sangrur, Nangal Dam, Rupnagar, and Amb Andaurua. These stations were selected with a long-term vision in mind and will be modernized to improve the overall travel experience for passengers.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme aims to develop railway stations in India with modern facilities, including cleanliness, water and energy conservation, and passenger amenities. The scheme also focuses on providing a better experience for passengers by improving the overall look and feel of the station.

The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ambala division, Mandeep Singh Bhatia, said, “15 stations of Ambala division have been identified for the modernisation under the scheme.” He also added that the modernization of these railway stations would provide a better travel experience for passengers.
