Copenhagen-Based Band Tender Youth Releases Its Self-Titled Debut EP

Tender Youth has an unencumbered and unruly candor that will captivate listeners. The four-song EP begins with the title track “Tender Youth,” featuring melancholic vocals, shivering guitar riffs, heavy drums, and solid bass. “Hollow” criticizes the role of social media as a distorting mirror, while “Silent Regimes” conveys the topic of societal and parental pressure.

“Kenya” closes the EP with shimmering cymbals and piercing guitar. All of the songs are meticulously composed, spotlighting the unabated energy of the quartet.

Tender Youth is made up of four high school friends – Tobias, Jonathan, Vitus, and Gregor. Established in 2018, they began performing at various venues throughout Copenhagen and gradually made themselves a name in the music scenes. Tender Youth aspires to break the chains that suffocate today’s youth, hence the album focusing on the pressures and unhealthy standards that the new generation is facing.

Tender Youth posted on Instagram the announcement of this EP release and thanked everyone who contributed. The post reads: “Our debut EP is finally out now. A lot of hard work has gone into this project.” Tender Youth recorded the entire EP in just one day, which created the urgency and the live feeling they were striving for. Sylvester Strückmann produced and mixed the album, while Christian Alex Petersen recorded at Grapehouse Studios.

Tender Youth is now available on all major platforms, including Spotify. To know more about the band, check their LinkTree https://linktr.ee/tenderyouthcph, or you can follow them on Instagram and Facebook.
