Interview With Hip-Hop Artist Ricardo Neeley aka Noble Barz

Ricardo Neeley aka Noble Barz formerly Barz Noble is a hip-hop artist from the Bahamas is equipped with a passion to deliver a message through the medium of music.

IF ANYONE SHOULD WONDER “WHY THE NAME NOBLE BARZ?”
It actually has a two-fold meaning the word ‘Noble’ involves character or distinction that identifies the voice of content within the delivery by which this artist desire to purposefully convey the message of hope…

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN MUSIC?
First being a fan and as my interest grew my desire deepened & I wanted to know the creative process behind those songs that many have come to love at one point or another that evoke a feeling that resonates with listeners.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO WRITE MUSIC?
God as the foundation first then I put my interpretation of the parallels of life into rhymes feeding off from what’s current yet still drawing from the never-changing principles from the past that defines who we are as humanity & children of God.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ARTISTS?
I am evolving as an artist but not at the cost of ditching my creative expression in having a message in the music that I put out from past to current & every future project that is Noble Barz’s artistic DNA.

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WRITE MUSIC?
I write to music that speaks to me in the hope that it connects to someone and it doesn’t have to be the most over the top sound or production wise but it could be simple yet it has a quality & steady groove to it that reaches the listener as penning to good music is like therapy and a release to me.

HOW HAS COVID EFFECTED YOUR MUSIC CAREER?
It actually afforded me more time to create & record more tracks.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
The release of my LP “T.S.I.R.” under Noble Barz I am looking at early 2021 as there are still some business, music promotion gearing to that project to be finalized by year end and more material is being recorded for projects even after the T.S.I.R. LP.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PARTICULAR CREATIVE HABIT WHEN YOU WRITE BEFORE RECORDING IN THE STUDIO?
I like to put that particular arrangement that I currently vibe to on repeat mode then I would build upon it word-wise just finding a pocket lyrically on how the track is going to be approached in cadence before recording.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN A FEW YEARS?
I will put it like this in the title from one of my songs on my 2nd LP the S.C.O.A.P. LP “Keep It Moving Regardless.”
