Katrina Kaif launched her line of beauty products – Kay Beauty

After Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, and Alia Bhatt, now the Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif has joined the celebrity entrepreneur train by launching her line of beauty product under the label Kay beauty. 

Actress turned entrepreneur Katrina Kaif seems excited about the launch of her own line of beauty products. She took to her social media to mark the launch of the brand, Kay Beauty, she posted a video on its Instagram page. The two-minute montage that features women from different walks of life, is directed by Zoya Akhtar, and the voiceover is provided by singer-songwriter Raja Kumari. The voiceover encases various attributes of women, along with the message that ‘it’s Kay to be you’, playing with the word ‘okay’, in order to include the name of the brand within the messaging.

Kay Beauty is going to India’s first celebrity-owned beauty brand. Internationally, many celebrities, including singer/actor Rihanna (Fenty), reality star and model Kylie Jenner (Kylie Cosmetics), and actor Drew Barrymore (Flower Cosmetics) own their own beauty labels.

The 36-year-old actress has launched the label in partnership with beauty platform Nykaa, which was launched seven years back as a website for beauty products, and now it has a footprint of 50 offline stores across two formats – Nykaa On Trend and Nykaa Luxe. 

Speaking about the launch, Kaif said, “Kay Beauty has been created asking a very demanding question – how can we get more out of makeup? The answer that the collection offers is a unique formula of makeup products that are long-lasting and ultra-glam, and that cares for your skin. It was also very important for me that the collection was versatile enough to cater to different skin tones, ages and emotions. I’ve taken all the knowledge I’ve gained in my career and put it into these products. I hope that they give you the tools to explore your creativity and celebrate your own unique idea of beauty.”
