Well, as you know, my name is Stephen L Robinson. I am a relationship coach, author, speaker, and Christian clothing brand starter. I’m just your average guy that wants to be used by God to fulfill the purpose I have here on this earth. I believe my purpose is to help bring people to Christ through the Trust God Wear clothing brand and help relationships thrive by using biblical principles. I am a man who puts God first in everything that I do now.
YOU WROTE A BOOK THAT WAS RELEASED IN THE YEAR 2020. IT WAS THE NUMBER 1 NEW RELEASE ON AMAZON; TELL US WHAT INSPIRED THE BOOK.
Well, the book is called T.R.U.S.T.I.N.G Love 8 Letters That Will Revolutionize Your Relationship. It’s based on eight core principles out of the Bible that will allow any relationship to thrive as long as both parties practice what’s in the book daily. I was inspired to write the book because so many relationships were failing. Yes, relationships take work, but I genuinely believe we have to go back to the source of created relationships, and that’s God. We are so fond of trying to do relationships our way instead of God’s way, and that’s why we fail. That’s like taking a defective iPhone operating system but expecting android to fix it. At one time, I was guilty of trying to do relationships my way as well. But God allowed me to go through enough failed relationships before I said okay enough is enough; let me do relationships God’s way. So the book was inspired by God not only for others to live out, but I had to start living those relationship principles out myself.
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CHRISTIAN APPAREL COMPANY. WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE COMPANY?
The company is called Trust God Wear. The company’s mission is simple: it’s showing the world it’s OKAY to Trust God. It’s built upon the scripture of Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. Sometimes it can be hard to trust God when things look shaky, but that’s when we need to trust him the most. When you order a shirt, it comes with a bracelet. You can’t wear the shirt every day, but you can wear the bracelet every day as a reminder to trust God every step of the way.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST LIFE LESSON SO FAR?
HAHAHA, I would say by far consulting with God about everything. I remember I met a woman who said she consults with God even if she should turn at a light. Now I thought to myself, that is a little extreme, but I see why now. She said she was on her way to work one day, and she consulted with God about turning a specific way and come to find out God said no don’t go that way, so she went the other way and later found out there was a bad accident on that rd. So, needless to say, learning to ask God for guidance is my biggest life lesson. I did so many things without consulting God that one time I was homeless, another time I moved to GA for a relationship that almost left me homeless again. The Bible says to be anxious for nothing but pray about everything. There is a reason for that.
