Dallas-based artist Daphne Wolfe has recently announced the release of her new single “Under My Spell” set to release in January 2022. It conveys a vulnerable story of the singer about self-discovery and the challenges of dealing with an identity crisis after she learned about her non-classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia. “Under My Spell” deals with Daphne Wolfe’s state of mind. She says that “Under My Spell” is a hate/love letter to herself and an acknowledgment of her gender dysphoria. The singer’s goal with this song is to inspire listeners and encourage those going through similar situations to admit and express their true selves and know they are not alone.
Daphne Wolfe rose to prominence after covering Radiohead’s ‘Creep.’ She then did another remake, this time of Gilbert O’Sullivan’s “Alone Again (Naturally),” which was also well received. Daphne quickly began writing original music and released “Pictures On My Wall.” After taking a break for a few months due to personal issues, this promising young artist is excited to return and aspire to inspire her listeners through her creations. The talented singer’s current musical interests include synthpop, alternative pop, ethereal, and electronic. With her new song, Daphne Wolfe is now set to make a name for herself in the music industry.
Speaking about her journey so far, Daphne Wolfe said, “It’s important that when you’re going through anything that you perceive to be a big deal in your life, you look to others to see how they deal with things.”
