The Twitter spat between Aakash Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad began when the former Indian cricketer criticised out-of-form KL Rahul on Twitter which did not go well with the commentator.

These days, it has become the hottest topic on social media. The former cricketer has been questioning Rahul’s place in the team India for the last some days on his Twitter account.

However, Aakash Chopra accused Prasad of running an agenda on his YouTube channel, which just flamed the fire between the both. The former cricketer added that he has no issues against Rahul or any particular player.

“So my friend Aakash Chopra after making a vile video on YouTube this morning where he calls me an agenda peddle, conveniently and cleverly misquotes me, removes Mayank’s average of 70 at home, wants to gag views which are not in line with what he believes but wanted Rohit out,” Prasad tweeted.

Meanwhile, the spat soon drew attention on social media and became a meme fest there. Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said that this debate should be stopped for now.

“The debate about whether KL Rahul should play or should be dropped has caught fire on social media and many of our senior (former) cricketers have joined the debate. Except for those who really follow the game passionately, baaki sab toh sirf maje le rahe hain (others are just having fun),” Harbhajan Singh said in his video on his YouTube channel.
