Urban Country Artist Lauren Davidson Talks About Her Fitness & Lifestyle
Lauren Davidson is from New York, United States. She is blending New York City vibes with the rich tones of country music; Lauren is New York’s own Urban-Country maven.
RITIKA: WHAT’S FITNESS ACCORDING TO YOU?
Lauren: To me, fitness is being active and moving your body.
RITIKA: AT WHAT AGE OR STAGE OF YOUR LIFE DID FITNESS BECOME A MAJOR PART OF YOUR LIFESTYLE?
Lauren: I’ve been on a stage since a young age and I used to take dance class at a young age so its been a part of my life in some way or another pretty much my entire life but I definitely didn’t start focusing on fitness until maybe high school.
RITIKA: I OFTEN TELL PEOPLE THAT DEDICATION TO FITNESS STARTS WITH MOTIVATION. WHO OR WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WORKOUT AND EAT HEALTHILY?
Lauren: Sometimes I’m not so motivated haha but I try to motivate myself with how fitness and eating healthy makes me feel and then some smoking celebs like Carrie Underwood & Carly Pearce – seeing their motivation motivates me.
RITIKA: WHAT’S YOUR TYPICAL WORKOUT ROUTINE?
Lauren: Recently its been At Home focused and predominantly bodyweight. Some HIIT. I’ve enjoyed seeing live stream workouts especially cardio boxing I’ve always loved.
RITIKA: WHAT GENRES OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO WHILE YOU’RE WORKING OUT?
Lauren: Pop Rock and Country but all uptempo
RITIKA: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL OF THE DAY?
Lauren: My favorite meal is dinner – its the most savory and satisfying but I know breakfast is the most important.
RITIKA: WHAT’S THE MAIN RULE IN YOUR DIET?
Lauren: Balance. Anytime I try to cut something out completely its all I crave so I focus on balance.
RITIKA: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?
Lauren: This is such a mood thing but carbs- bread, pasta you name it!
RITIKA: DOES IT DRIVE YOU CRAZY WHEN YOU DON’T GET TO EXERCISE? Lauren: Sometimes yes because I like routine but as long as I’m moving in some sort of way, even a short walk, I feel better.
RITIKA: WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER WORKOUT HEAVEN?
Lauren: I used to take a boxing and pilates combo class that I absolutely was obsessed with and I love working out with a trainer so I don’t slack off. Its hell when you are in it but heaven when you’ve conquered it.
