Ambala in Mourning: BJP MP Rattan Lal Kataria Passes Away

Ambala MP and Former Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice & Empowerment, Rattan Lal Kataria, passed away on Thursday at 72. Kataria, who served as a Member of Parliament from Ambala in Haryana three times, was admitted to PGI Chandigarh, where he breathed his last.

The news of his passing has left the people of Ambala in shock. Kataria was known for his sincere dedication to serving the people and tireless efforts to help those in need. He spent his life working for the welfare of the people, and his legacy will be remembered as one of selflessness and commitment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his condolences on Kataria’s passing. He wrote, “Pained by the passing away of MP and former Minister Shri Rattan Lal Kataria Ji. He will be remembered for his rich contribution towards public service and social justice. He played a key role in strengthening BJP in Haryana. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti.”

Kataria, a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was elected to the 13th and 16th Lok Sabha from Ambala. During his tenure as a Member of Parliament, he worked tirelessly for the welfare of his constituents. His dedication, honesty, and hard work earned him the love and respect of his people.

In July 2016, Kataria was appointed as the Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice & Empowerment in the Union Cabinet. He served in this position until July 7, 2021, when he resigned due to health reasons.

Throughout his political career, Rattan Lal Kataria worked to uplift society’s weaker sections. He championed the rights of the marginalized and worked tirelessly to ensure their voices were heard. Kataria’s contribution to the welfare of the people will be remembered for years to come.
