Indian pace sensation Mohammed Shami has been conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. This accolade acknowledges Shami’s outstanding performance in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup and his significant contribution to Indian Cricket.

The 33-year-old cricket stalwart played a pivotal role in leading the pace attack for the Indian cricket team during the ICC Cricket World Cup, contributing significantly to the team’s triumph on numerous occasions. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced a list of 26 Indian athletes who will be honored with the Arjuna Award for their remarkable achievements and victories in the year 2023.
